| Description |
English: I have confirmed through several sources, including the National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form for the property, that this house is indeed the Thomas J. Murray House, located near Mars Hill, North Carolina. I removed the GPS coordinates, as the house could attract unwanted attention due to its dilapidated state, and the location is apparently "not to be published" despite it leaking online. The house was constructed about 1894 and is located on a large plot of land with two large barns adjacent to the house. It appears to have been abandoned several decades ago, and is in an advanced state of deterioration. There appears to be little hope for the future survival of the structure, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
