Summary

Description
English: Three Horse Shoes Junc Signal Box, near to Turves, Cambridgeshire, Great Britain.

The ex junction of the Benwick goods railway which was a Great Eastern Railway line serving the village of Benwick, Cambridgeshire.

The line was built in 1898 as a goods only line for moving agricultural produce from the Benwick area. It left the Ely to Peterborough line at Three Horseshoes Junction in Turves just east of the level crossing on Burnthouse Road. A passenger service was never provided, and the line closed to goods in 1966. The Signal box is still operated by the signalman in the remote location.
