DescriptionToddington , Parish Church of St. George of England - geograph.org.uk - 579992.jpg
English: Toddington : Parish Church of St. George of England This is a view of 578849 taken from the northern tip of the churchyard looking in a south-southeasterly direction. Churches are normally aligned in an east-west direction with the chancel at the east end, but, as can be seen from the map this church lies in a more NE/SW orientation - perhaps due to local magnetic variations causing thirteenth century compasses to misread, or perhaps for more pragmatic reasons such as the lie of the land.
