Description
English: TOULON, France -- The Maritime Prepositioning Force ship, MV 2nd LT John P. Bobo, positioned off the southern coast of France, plays host to approximately 60 MPF Marines from around the fleet, during Exercise Brilliant Midas 06. The exercise, which took place Sept. 28 to Oct. 14, served as a learning tool to maintain and increase staff planning skills for MPF Marines. The force includes 16 constantly deployed ships that are configured to transport nearly everything the Marine Corps needs to sustain about 15,000 Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force personnel for up to 30 days during an initial military operation.
