| Description | The U.S. Navy destroyer tender USS Piedmont (AD-17), circa 1969. Alongside are the Iranian Bayandor-class corvettes Milanian (F-27) and Kahnamoie (F-28). These corvettes were built by Levingston Shipbuilding in Texas (USA) under the (Mutual Assistance Programme), wherein ships were built from U.S. Navy funding (wtih the U.S. designation PF-105/PF-106) and transferred immediately upon completion to Iran. | |||
