Description Episodio dello scontro di Sommacampagna avvenuto il 23 luglio 1848, subito prima della battaglia di Custoza, nell'ambito della prima guerra di indipendenza. Particolare del dipinto conservato ed esposto nel Museo del Risorgimento di Torino. Una diversa interpretazione del soggetto del quadro la dà il sito http://www.rescollector.it/Arte-e-antiquariato/Quadri/Olii/Importante-dipinto-Felice-Cerruti-Battaglia-Pastrengo che, invece, collega il dipinto ad un episodio secondario della prima guerra di indipendenza, avvenuto a Sommacampagna il 30 aprile 1848, in occasione della battaglia di Pastrengo.
