The Valentine was a private design by Vickers-Armstrong and therefore did not receive the usual British ‘A’ designation. They were strong and reliable and the chassis was used for several other uses, such as bridgelayers.
This is one of the 1,300 British built Valentines which were supplied to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease agreements, along with almost the entire Canadian production run.
In period markings, it is on display in Hall 8 of the Patriot Museum Complex.
