Summary

Description
English: Victoria Square, Birmingham Victoria Square, although a long standing open space in central Birmingham (so-named after a statue of Queen Victoria was erected here in 1901), was completely re-designed in the early 1990s. The key new feature was this water display, the centrepiece being 'The River' statue by Dhruva Mistry. With typical Brummie humour, locals immediately rechristened this the 'Floozy in the Jacuzzi'. The lower fountain and statues represent youth while the Council House looks on ponderously behind.
