Summary

Description
English: A Visite Royale occurs in a Parish once every six years. The Royal Court of Jersey visits the Parish to sit in session and examine the accounts. The Court also goes on a tour of inspection and adjudicates on matters relating to public roads and footpaths brought to its attention by the parish. Tradition dictates that Visites Royales take place on the first and third Wednesdays in August. In 2012 the Royal Court visited Saint Helier on 1 August. Pictured - HM Solicitor-General presents argument in a case of whether the Parish has the right to remove certain dead trees in Bellozanne Valley.
