English: War Memorial at Baker Street tube station An imposing marble memorial, surmounted by a lion slaying a serpent, commemorates the names of the men of the Metropolitan Railway Company who lost their lives in WW1. Beside it stands a 12inch shell case, presented by Vickers Ltd, to act as collecting box for donations in aid of the Railway Benevolent Institution.
