- The image is of a variety of examples of a work of art, made by Robert Watts. It shows the fluidity of the piece's form whilst maintaining the concept.
- Work by this artist was always usually uncredited and unsigned, and was produced cheaply, intended for wide dissemination.
- Despite this, the works are very rare, usually obscure, and hard to track down for viewing. As an early example of a flux box, the work was cheap and intended to be as widely disseminated as possible, values that are maintained and greatly expanded by wikipedia.
- It is accepted in US copyright that articles on historically important artists, such as Watts, should be illustrated with key works. This is one such key work, central to an understanding of Fluxus and of the Flux Box's development, and of Watts' role within it. This is part of a series of articles I am contributing to about Fluxus in an attempt to widen understanding and interest in a much discussed but widely misunderstood and obscured movement.
