DescriptionWesley Foundation Building Urbana Illinois.jpg
The Wesley Foundation at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was founded in 1913, the first "Wesley Foundation" to be established. Wesley Foundations are United Methodist Church campus ministries located in non-Methodist colleges and universities. The building seen here, located at 1203 Green Street at the corner of South Goodwin Avenue in Urbana, Illinois, dates from 1921 and was modeled on Christ Church College at Oxford, where John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, studied. It was designed by Holabird and Roche in the Late Gothic Revival style. (Sources: [1] and [2])
