DescriptionWildroot Building, Buffalo, New York - 20200527.jpg
English: The Wildroot Building, 1740 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, New York, May 2020. Built in 1929 as the home of Grennan Bakeries, this industrial complex located directly alongside the old West Shore Railroad tracks was greatly expanded in 1946 as home of the Wildroot Hair Tonic Company (later bought out by Colgate-Palmolive), where the namesake product was manufactured until 1961. Subsequent tenants included TMP and plastic packaging company Transparent Bag, but the building has been vacant for over 25 years as of this writing. The Wildroot Building became a City of Buffalo landmark in 2018.
