DescriptionWing Luke Museum - Eight Immortals 01A.jpg
The Eight Immortals. Wing Luke Asian Museum, International District, Seattle, Washington. This piece previously belonged to Ping Chow and Ruby Chow, very prominent Seattle figures. They owned a restaurant that, for decades, was a major Seattle meeting place. Ping Chow was a well-known Cantonese Chinese Opera performer, but his wife Ruby Chow became even more prominent: the world's first female board member of a Chong Wa Benevolent Society chapter and the first Asian American member of the King County Council.
