Summary

Description Georgia Army Guard Brig. Gen. Larry Dudney (left) – now director of the Georgia Department of Defense Joint Staff – listens while Col. Sipicki of the Croatian Army makes a request for logistical assistance during a visit to Regional Command North near Kabul, Afghanistan. Dudney, who commanded Combined Joint Task Force Phoenix IX and was director of the Afghan National Security Forces Development Assistance Bureau in Kabul from 2009 to 2010, was at Regional Command North for the command’s Capital Change-of-Command ceremony. Sipicki, Dudney recalled, had soldiers working for the Georgia Army Guard’s Lt. Col. Kenny Payne and Command Sgt. Maj. Phillip Stringfield. “We had a very good working relationship with the Croations, and wanted to help them in any way we could,” said Dudney.
