Summary

Description
English: In January 1958 a team of reporters (right) asks John Cockcroft, director of research at the UKAEA, questions about the ZETA reactor seen at the upper left. It was during this interview that Cockcroft, being badgered by the reporters, unwisely offered his assessment that he was 90% sure the neutrons seen from the device were caused by fusion. In May, Cockcroft was forced to publish a retraction of these claims.
