How many microns apart?

It says numbered ticks are 11 microns apart. Shouldn't it be 10? If they are 11 microns apart, each unnumbered tick would be about 0.091 0.11 1.1 microns apart. SlowJog (talk) 19:59, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

  No, it should not.  The scale is built into my 15× eyepiece, and its application varies with which objective I use.  The closest that any of them give me to the sort of nice, neat number you'd like is my 60× objective, which gives me 20 microns per numbered tick with this eyepiece.  Here, I used my 100× objective, and with it, the scale really does come out to eleven (11) microns per numbered tick.  And yes, the unnumbered ticks are 1.1 microns apart. — Bob Blaylock (talk) 13:53, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
