Color Scheme & Intervals

Is there a reason for the "reject" color scheme, as opposed to something like red? I don't feel like it contrasts that well, especially if you have your colors on your device night-shifted.

Also, it would be interesting if you could show smaller intervals (e.g. 5%), rather than just 10%, but I don't know if that would be confusing.
