Adding years to the dates?

As this conflict is unfortunately almost a year old, it seems that adding years to the dates on the map is necessary. I'm not experienced with this kind of task, so I am just putting this idea forward, in the hopes that someone else will be able to help. ERBuermann (talk) 18:33, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Yes, years should be added ASAP. Otherwise it will get less and less clear when what happend, especially after territories change control multiple times. Kwinzman (talk) 07:17, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Just to give an update: Apparently it is already beeing worked on and solved, in Wikipedia commons. https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File_talk:2022_Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine.svg&oldid=741509577#Dates Newer dates starting with 1st of January 2023 already have the year in the SVG. Additionally a lot of attention is paid to getting the date translations right. Very interesting IMHO. Kwinzman (talk) 05:42, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Territorial changes highlighting in the Map

Would it be possible to remove the many arrows that show movements that are already many weeks old. It is hard to make out the delta with the previous map, respectively. Maybe territory gained or lost since the previous map could be colored differently? ♆ CUSH ♆ 11:51, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Why not use a different color for the regained territories by Ukraine? It's hard to tell apart the blue color. It looks like the water areas. 46.121.212.234 (talk) 14:43, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
