Contested deletion
editThis file should not be speedy deleted as "redundant" because .pngs are the preferred file format for music artwork, hence why I uploaded it. The user Flooded with them hundreds is clearly trying to repurpose their .jpg that they don't want deleted for a different use, when they originally uploaded it to be the artwork for the song. The .jpg is of inferior quality. Ss112 10:58, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- It's an obvious copy of the earlier version, which has higher resolution and should've been renamed rather than replaced with an entire new file page. Flooded with them hundreds 11:00, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- As I already stated, it doesn't matter. .jpgs are of inferior, compressed quality. 13 more pixels on either side is not a substantial difference. I am not going to preserve a .jpg file, regardless of whose it is, over a .png. Ss112 11:03, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- Then maybe you should've uploaded a new version of the file to the same page rather than creating a duplicate page at a different title. Flooded with them hundreds 11:05, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- ...You can't upload a new version of a file that was originally a .jpg with a .png or a different file format. That doesn't work. Ss112 11:14, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- No, you're bluffing. Flooded with them hundreds 11:16, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- ...Have you ever even tried it? Because you obviously don't know what you're talking about. I have, and the system recognises that the extension of your file doesn't match with the existing one and doesn't allow you to upload a new version. Ss112 11:17, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
- You're right, it doesn't work. After looking at the tag again it said "in the same format" so the speedy isn't valid. :/ Flooded with them hundreds 11:35, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
