this is a publicity shot for performer's one-man show which was presented in the 1960s and '70s. It presents the character as lauded in contemporary reviews in the press which cited Franklin's warmth, humor, humanity. If this is not a 'free' image (from performer's personal collection & used with permission) I'm certain there is no comparable 'free' image available. I apologize if I'm unclear on what constitutes a 'free' image & perhaps I would have best uploaded this to Wikipedia Commons; but I've chosen to err on the side of caution as I fully respect strict adherence to all financial and moral and intellectual rights.
- The person is still alive. The image is therefore replaceable. See WP:NFC#UUI §1. --Stefan2 (talk) 22:26, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
