The image on this page is grossly innacurate. 'Repoductive spores' is pointing to the EXTERNAL scale structures of a chrysophyte cell. The 'nucleus' label is pointing to the actual cell, one would not be unable to see the nucleus in a whole-mount electron micrograph such as this.
