A suitable image of the actor is not freely available. This shot being taken from a notable film by Satyajit Ray is illustrative of the actor and hence uploaded only for the purpose of depiction on the actor's wiki page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnyossarrian (talk • contribs) 21:02, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
- From my duplicate tag that I placed on the page before realizing it'd just been tagged: "Non-free image of a living person fails WP:NFC#UUI#1. The use of the image is simply to illustrate the living person, not to support any critical commentary about this precise scene depicted in the screenshot." To reply to the uploader's claims that no free images currently exist, that is not the question. The question is whether a freely licensed image could be taken. Since the actor is alive, active in his field, not imprisoned, etc, it is possible that someone could take a photo of him and freely license it. --Nick—Contact/Contribs 21:18, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
- Non-free images of living people are not permitted under our fair use policy. Sorry, -- Diannaa (talk) 22:58, 27 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
