Shouldn’t the bottom axis be “minutes,” not "arrivals per minute"?

I don't think so, but it's still unclear and requires different phrasing. François Robere (talk) 13:32, 20 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
In histograms, the horizontal axis is the observed sample space (i.e. observed outcomes), and the vertical axis is the frequency (i.e. the count, that is, the number of occurrences of each sample). Let's say some institute was keeping "number of arrivals per minute" data for some time (e.g. different periods of some day(s) such as morning-noon-afternoon-night, odd hours of some day(s), or weeks/months/years whatever), and the histogram shows the distribution (i.e. frequency or count) of the observed outcomes; in the total period of time that the observation was made, there were 12 mornings/days/weeks/months where the arrival rate was 4.5 arrivals per minute. Or, let's say you have been working for an airport and keeping this statistics for the company, and the histogram shows the distribution (i.e. frequency or count) of arrivals per minute data over the last year, where the frequencies are normalized according to some criteria. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.110.50.54 (talk) 19:20, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
