File talk:James Lord Bowes 1834-99.jpg

A very interesting list of what this box is NOT for. Can anyone tell me just what it IS for? I have been challenged on the validity of a photograph on this page: the photograph is of a person who died in 1899 . The photograph was taken by a professional photographer circa 1875 who did not stamp his work and thus remains anonymous (he is undoubtedly now dead). The photograph is legally owned by the descendants of the subject of the photograph, and they have given it to me to publish in illustration of the article. The family have no licenses for anything, IT IS THEIR PROPERTY, nor do they feel the need to acquire such as this image has already been used (as out of copyright) in several published works by eminent authors (whose lawyers undoubtedly established their right to use that image without fee or license). I would appreciate the help of an administrator in deciding this issue, failing which I will pull the image from all Wiki files. Leopold7 (talk) 09:13, 13 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
