The description for this image appears to be somewhat incorrect. This image shows Ocean Gallant and her four sister ships at the outfitting pier of the New England Shipbuilding Company's east yard subsequent to their launch on 4-Aug-1942. The photo date may well be correct, 16-Aug-1942, as these five ships were not delivered until September 1942. I obtained this information here: [1] - it may not be authoritative.
