why is this laid out like it is? every other map i've seen on wikipedia has used the standard view of the continents

Better Dymaxion projection possible?

I am 100% in favor of the use of Dymaxion projections for things like this, but in this particular case it is not particularly helpful in illustrating the link between Australia and the Americas. Falklands?

The article List of mammals of the Falkland Islands doesn't mention any Marsupial species living in the Falklands.
