Let's see whether this is consistent. Oklahoma is displayed as Northern because it was Indian Territory and never took a vote on the issue of secession but from statehood on has been considered Southern. But West Virginia, which voted itself out of Virginia to deny secession, is displayed as Southern. Fact: Oklahoma may not have been part of the Confederacy, but it wasn't the same as, say, Vermont either. Perhaps a distinct color needs to be introduced for Oklahoma.
