Incorrect map

edit

This map is without sources, and I take issue with some of the info here.

Various issues:
(1) While there is debate over what Italy's recognition counts as, it's clearly something. It shouldn't be gray.
(2) Just because the Arab league whole supports the opposition doesn't mean that individual Arab countries do. You need a source for, say, Sudan, for example, because last I heard, Sudan supported Assad (though admittedly that was awhile ago). Somalia, too, has no sourced stance, yet it is colored light green.
(3) More Western countries should be light green, as they have given other forms of support (Germany, for example). --Yalens (talk) 15:34, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

As for Italy, I don't see the reason for the apparent double standard, as plenty of sources describe Italy as recognizing something: for example, [[1]]. On the other hand, there's things like this: [2]... it's best to just have Italy light green. --Yalens (talk) 15:42, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Lebanon and Iraq

edit

In Lebanon currently a pro-Syrian government led by Hezbollah and Assad business partner Mikati rules the country, they have previously been supportive of the Assad government, so has the al-Maliki government in Iraq. I have searched on internet for verification of this map and I can find none. Can the maker provide any source to back up his claim that either of these countries has recognized the SNC as sole legitimate representative and cut relations with Assad?Kermanshahi (talk) 15:57, 14 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

This seems to indicate that the Syrian ambassador to Lebanon still belongs tot he Government of Syria rather than the SNC.Kermanshahi (talk) 14:59, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Updating Problems

edit

I see all these recent updates, but on the main page - and when I click on the link to the full-sized photo, it still shows the pick from a few days ago. Wikipedia issue or is it just me? Yahnatan (talk) 01:53, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
