Frank Hall Crane (January 1, 1873[citation needed] – September 1, 1948) was an American stage and film actor and director.[1] He appeared in more than 70 films between 1909 and 1939. He also directed 48 films between 1914 and 1927. His first screen writing included The Stolen Voice in 1915.[1] He was born in San Francisco, California.

His wife Irene Crane appeared in many of his films and was still alive when he died in 1948.[2]
Crane died on September 1, 1948, at the Motion Picture Country Home Hospital in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, aged 75.[3]
