59th Golden Horse Awards

The 59th Golden Horse Awards (Chinese: 第59屆金馬獎) was held on November 19, 2022, at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.[3] Organized by the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee, the awards honored the best in Chinese-language films of 2021 and 2022. Nominations were announced on September 27, 2022.[4] Despite receiving the warning from Chinese authorities,[5] Hong Kong action thriller Limbo led the nominations with 14, while Taiwanese films Incantation and Coo-Coo 043 each received 13 nominations.[6][7]

Taiwanese drama Coo-Coo 043 won Best Narrative Feature,[8] while Limbo was the biggest winner overall with 4 awards, mostly won technical categories,[9] followed by The Sunny Side of the Street with 3, including Best Leading Actor.[10]
