H Is for Hawk is an upcoming British film directed by Philippa Lowthorpe and starring Claire Foy and Brendan Gleeson. It is an adaptation by Emma Donoghue of the 2014 memoir by Helen MacDonald of the same name.

The film was announced in February 2024, the to be directed by Philippa Lowthorpe, and written by Emma Donoghue, adapting H is for Hawk, the 2014 memoir by Helen MacDonald. It is set to star Claire Foy and Brendan Gleeson and has been developed with Film4 who will executive produce and co-finance.[1] The film is also being produced by Plan B Entertainment who had previously been attached to an adaptation of the book with Lena Headey.[2][3] In November 2024, Lionsgate acquired UK and Irish distribution rights to the film from Protagonist Pictures.[4]

Filming began in Cambridge in November 2024.[5][6] Filming is also scheduled to take place in Wales and London.[7]
