Pre

edit

Per Special:Version#sv-parser-tags, <pre> is a parser extension tag.

It breaks formatnum: as does all other extension tags, but not HTML tags:

It can be used with #tag:, :

where HTML tags cannot. I don't know what extension it is from, but <pre> is a parser extension tag. And it surprised me as well. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 00:30, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is core, like <nowiki>. See Special:Version#sv-parser-tags. --Splarka (rant) 08:15, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Should have thought of that. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 11:03, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

The lead of this help page is confusing and difficult to follow. How is the UNIQ? or whatever it is related to new HTML tags? Plus, why do I care if they are broken? — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  20:16, 19 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree, I have no idea what the first paragraph is communicating. It's mystifying in multiple respects. It doesn't even say what "?UNIQ...QINU?" means. Largoplazo (talk) 15:04, 8 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
