This is a list of characters from the animated television series Jackie Chan Adventures.

  • Jackie Chan - He is a 35-year-old (voiced by James Sie in animation; portrayed by himself in live-action) - The main protagonist of the series, who appears as two different versions. The fictionalized version is an archaeologist living in San Francisco who works for Section 13 and is skilled in martial arts. The live-action version is Jackie Chan, who answers questions from fans, primarily children, about his life and career while providing insight into Chinese culture.
  • Jade Chan - She is a 8-year-old (voiced by Stacie Chan, Lucy Liu in "J2: Rise of the Dragons") - Jackie's niece from Hong Kong, who is adventurous and reckless and accompanies him on his adventures.
  • Uncle Chan - He is a 78-year-old (voiced by Sab Shimono) - Jackie's uncle and Jade's great-uncle, who is a wise sage and researcher of magic. He speaks with a Cantonese-accented drawl and often refers to himself in the third person. When casting magic, he uses the Cantonese phrase "Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao", which translates to "Evil demons and malevolent spirits, be gone!".
  • Tohru - (voiced by Noah Nelson) - A large Japanese man who is skilled in wrestling-like combat. He is an enforcer for the Dark Hand in the first season before reforming and becoming an ally of the Chans as well as Uncle's apprentice.

  • Section 13 - A secretive government agency that Jackie works for.
    • Captain Augustus Black - He is a 36-year-old (voiced by Clancy Brown) - A longtime friend of Jackie and the leader of Section 13. A crime-fighting specialist, he is initially skeptical of magic before learning more about it and assisting the Chans in magical matters, but often struggles to convince his superiors that magic is real.
    • Kepler - He is a 37-year-old (voiced by John DiMaggio) - An engineer and inventor working at Section 13, who does not believe in magic and is often too engrossed in his work to notice what is happening around him. He created several inventions used by the Chans, including a jetpack and chronoton beams.
    • Taggert McStone - He is a 36-39-year-old (voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes) - A legendary agent of Section 13 who was believed to have retired, but is revealed to have stayed in Section 13 in disguise until Ashby Necrosis emerges.
  • El Toro Fuerte - He is a 36-year-old (voiced by Miguel Sandoval) - A Mexican masked luchador who prides himself on never removing his mask and fighting honorably.
  • Paco - He is a 8-year-old to Season 2 (later 9) (voiced by Franco Velez) - A Mexican boy and fan of El Toro.
  • Viper - She is a 35-year-old (voiced by Susan Eisenberg) - A martial artist who operates as a thief before retiring after season one and becoming a security consultant.
  • Super Moose - He is a 9-year-old (voiced by Clancy Brown) - An anthropomorphic moose comic book character. Jade owns a plush of him that is occasionally animated using the Rat Talisman.
  • The Noble Animals - An ancient group of animals who gained a portion of Shendu's magic before having their powers stolen and transferred into the Talismans. In the present day, after the Talismans are destroyed, their magic is transferred into the animals' descendants until Daolon Wong recreates Shendu's body and he drains their power. After Shendu is turned back into a statue, the Chans recreate the Talismans.
    • Scruffy - A dog who is the first Noble Animal and is adopted by the Chans after the Talismans are recreated.

Shendu
  • Shendu (voiced by James Sie) - The Demon Sorcerer of Fire, who is the main antagonist of the first two seasons before making recurring appearances in later seasons. Centuries before the series' events, Lo Pei transformed him into a statue, drained his magic, and created the Talismans to store portions of it. In the present, Shendu escapes before being defeated and returned to his statue form. In the series finale, the Chans free Shendu to battle Drago, ultimately trapping them both in the Netherworld.
  • Dark Hand - A criminal organization that antagonizes Jackie Chan and becomes defunct by the end of the second season.
    • Valmont (voiced by Julian Sands (season 1–2), Andrew Ableson (season 3–4), Thomas Dekker as a child) - A criminal mastermind and the leader of the Dark Hand. After the Dark Hand disbands, he becomes an independent criminal despite his reduced resources.
    • Enforcers - The Dark Hand's enforcers, who also work for other villains, such as Daolon Wong, Tarakudo, and Drago.
      • Finn (voiced by Adam Baldwin) - A red-haired member of the Dark Hand and one of its Enforcers.
      • Ratso (voiced by Clancy Brown) - A blue-haired member of the Dark Hand and one of its Enforcers
      • Chow (voiced by James Sie) - A Chinese member of the Dark Hand and one of its enforcers.
      • Hak Foo (voiced by Jim Cummings in season 1, John DiMaggio in season 2 onwards) - A martial arts expert who is initially introduced as a minor character in the first season, where Valmont and Shendu hire him to accompany Tohru in his search for the Pig Talisman, before becoming a recurring antagonist by the second season after Tohru defects to Jackie Chan's side.
  • Shadowkhan - Shadowy creatures from the Shadow Realm who resemble ninjas. Each version is associated with one of the Oni generals. They include the Ninja Shadowkhan, who are also summoned by Shendu, Razor Shadowkhan, Bat Shadowkhan, Sumo Shadowkhan, Samurai Shadowkhan, Squid Shadowkhan, Crab Shadowkhan, Mini Shadowkhan, and Mantis Shadowkhan.
  • Demon Sorcerers - Shendu's siblings, who the Eight Immortals previously sealed in the Netherworld using the Pan Ku Box. After accidentally possessing Valmont as a result of his siblings' spell, Shendu leads the Dark Hand in trying to free them, only for Uncle to cast a spell to send them back to the Netherworld using the items associated with the Immortal that banished them. Shendu eventually frees them using the Book of Ages, creating an alternate timeline where he and the Demon Sorcerers rule Earth, but Jade is unaffected due to possessing a page of the Book and manages to defeat them. In the fifth season, Drago seeks to obtain objects that contain the Sorcerers' Chi, only to be foiled by the Chans.
    • Po Kong (voiced by Mona Marshall) - The Mountain Demon and Shendu's sister, who has a ravenous appetite and prefers to feed on humans. Her portal is located on an island in Tokyo Bay, Japan. Po Kong's Chi is stored in a pair of chopsticks.
    • Xiao Fung (voiced by Glenn Shadix) - The Wind Demon and Shendu's brother, who can generate powerful blasts of air. His portal is located in a prison in the United States[a] which he considers to be "a paradise" compared to the Netherworld.
    • Tchang Zu (voiced by Clancy Brown) - The Thunder Demon, who is arrogant and dislikes Shendu, seeing himself as his master rather than his brother. He possesses the ability to control electricity and lightning. His portal is located in Megagalactic Studios in Hollywood, which was once the site of his castle.
    • Tso Lan (voiced by Glenn Shadix) - The Moon Demon, who possesses the powers of gravity manipulation and telekinesis. His portal is located between Earth and the Moon. Tso Lan's chi is contained in a lotus pod.
    • Dai Gui (voiced by Frank Welker) - The Earth Demon, who has the ability to burrow at high speeds. He is strong but unintelligent and dislikes Shendu as well as flowers, which were used to banish him and contain his Chi. His portal is located in Spain, where he attempts to create a new kingdom before being defeated.
    • Hsi Wu (voiced by André Sogliuzzo) - The Sky Demon, who can fly at high speeds. His portal is located in Fenway Park. His chi is contained in a flute.
    • Bai Tza (voiced by Mona Marshall) - The sea serpent-like Water Demon, who is cruel and intelligent and seemingly the closest to Shendu of the Sorcerers, but despises him for his repeated failures. She ruled over Atlantis until it was destroyed and seeks to flood San Francisco, the location of her portal, and make it her new kingdom. Her Chi is contained in a prize that Drago finds on an island and gains the power of water from.
  • Daolon Wong (voiced by James Hong) - A dark chi wizard whom the Dark Chi Warriors serve. He is the main antagonist of the third season.
    • Dark Chi Warriors - Daolon Wong's demonic servants. When Uncle imprisons the original Dark Chi Warriors in the Lost Urn of Wei Chi, Daolon Wong creates new Dark Chi Warriors from the Dark Hand's enforcers, a transformation which Uncle undoes in the third season finale. They include Gan, Ren, Chui, and Zhen, who was created from Hak Foo.
  • Tarakudo (voiced by Miguel Ferrer) - A demonic entity and leader of the Oni, who is the main antagonist of the fourth season. After being possessed by his Chi, Jade is temporarily transformed into the Queen of the Shadowkhan. When Daolon Wong unknowingly summons Tarakudo instead of the Shadowkhan, he enlists Finn, Ratso, Chow, and Hak Foo to collect the Oni masks of his Oni Generals, who control the Shadowkhan. Tarakudo is vulnerable to onions, and was unable to enter Section 13 after Uncle cast an onion spell around its headquarters. Uncle later uses a spell to restore Tarakudo's body and banishes him and his allies using a mask representing him that was lost in the Shadow Realm.
    • Oni Generals - Tarakudo's oni servants, who each control a type of Shadowkhan. They and Tarakudo and Jackie's group compete to obtain the masks, which possess those who wear them and must be removed using a special potion containing a specific ingredient. When all eight masks are assembled, the Oni Generals are freed from their imprisonment. When Tarakudo's mask is placed on him, they are sucked into it.
      • Ikazuki (voiced by Maurice LaMarche) - An Oni General and Tarakudo's second-in-command who can summon Samurai Shadowkhan.
      • Rairakku - An Oni General who can summon Ninja Shadowkhan.
      • Murasaki - An Oni General who can summon Razor Shadowkhan.
      • Kiiro - An Oni General who can summon Bat Shadowkhan.
      • Midori - An Oni General who can summon Sumo Shadowkhan.
      • Orenji - An Oni General who can summon Squid Shadowkhan.
      • Kuro - An Oni General who can summon Crab Shadowkhan.
      • Mosugurīn - An Oni General who can summon Mini Shadowkhan.
      • Aka - An Oni General who can summon Mantis Shadowkhan.
  • Drago (voiced by Michael Rosenbaum) - A demonic dragon and Shendu's son from the future, who harbors a grudge towards Jade because her adult self opposed him in his original timeline. He is introduced in the fourth season before becoming the main antagonist of the fifth season. In the series finale, he and Shendu are banished to the Netherworld.
  • Ice Crew - A group of teenage criminals who serve Drago and were temporarily transformed into dragon hybrids similar to him. They include Strikemaster Ice (voiced by Mike Erwin), MC Cobra (voiced by Jeff Fischer), and the silent DJ Fist.

Minor antagonists

  • Karl Nivor (voiced by Ron Perlman) - A billionaire who feeds on endangered animals and has a personal chef, Boris, who works for him.
  • Gnome Kop (voiced by Brian Doyle-Murray) - An action figure brought to life by the Rat Talisman who terrorizes the city in search of his archenemy Turbo Troll.
  • Yokonowa Crime Family - A crime family that targeted the Kyoto Octopus. It is led by its unnamed boss (voiced by Clyde Kusatsu).
  • John Smith (voiced by Dan Gilvezan) - A wealthy man who accompanies Jackie and Jade to the Lost City of the Muntabs to obtain the secrets of their longevity.
  • Origami (voiced by Tim Dang) - Real name Kuniko Kasahara. An art collector and burglar who can transform into various origami forms.
  • Monk (voiced by Tim Lounibos) - A monk who accompanies Jackie and Jade to the Lotus Temple to steal the Scroll of Hung-Chao. After being trapped in the temple when it disappears, he escapes and accompanies Vanessa Barone, Peter Bailey, Angus McCutcheon, and Haggis in targeting the Silver Iguana of Awramba.
  • Dr. Ashby Necrosis (voiced by Charles Shaughnessy) - A criminal genius known as the Kingpin of Techno-Crime.
    • Hoyle (voiced by Greg Ellis) - Necrosis' henchman, who can telekinetically manipulate his cards.
  • Springheel Jack (voiced by Corey Burton) - A troll who terrorized towns before being petrified by Simeon Magus. After Jackie accidentally frees him, he searches the city for Magus's descendants before being defeated and re-petrified.
  • Vanessa Barone (voiced by Lauren Wood) - A treasure hunter, mercenary, and thief who targets the Eye of Aurora, which grants the power of teleportation. After the Buttercup Scouts stop her, she later accompanies Peter Bailey, Angus McCutcheon, Haggis, and the monk in targeting the Silver Iguana of Awramba.
  • Peter Bailey (voiced by Roger Scott) - A black marketeer and thief who poses as an Inuit shaman to steal a frozen prehistoric humanoid, but is stopped by Jackie and Jade. He later accompanies Vanessa Barone, Angus McCutceon, Haggis, and the monk in targeting the Silver Iguana of Awramba.
  • Mr. Jumba (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) - A curator who targets the Sutras of Raktajiba along with his accomplices so that they can use it to drain the Ganges River and get to the treasures beneath it. His plans are thwarted by Jackie with help from a Mohajah who wanted to reclaim the Sutras of Raktajiba.
    • Dr. Weber (voiced by Patrick Pinney) - A dentist who is an accomplice of Mr. Jumba.
    • Portia Martindale (voiced by Kat Cressida) - An archaeologist from a British Museum who is an accomplice of Mr. Jumba.
  • Cardiff Zendo (voiced by Maurice LaMarche) - A Moroccan art collector, café owner, and crime boss who seeks obtain the Cat of Khartoum, which causes those scratched by it to exhibit cat-like traits.
  • Giles (voiced by Michael T. Weiss) - The leader of a gang of hijackers who target the Golden Dragon. His group consists of Butch (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), Basil (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), and an unnamed safecracker (voiced by Nicholas Guest).
  • Angus McCutcheon and Haggis (voiced by Victor Brandt) - Two Scottish modern-day pirates who seek the treasure of Greenbeard. They later accompany Vanessa Barone, Peter Bailey, and the monk in targeting the Silver Iguana of Awramba.
  • Gloves of Greenbeard - Sentient gloves who compel their wearers to steal.
  • Brotherhood of Magisters (voiced by Jeff Bennett, Rob Paulsen, and Frank Welker) - An organization of magic-users led by the Head Magister (voiced by Neil Ross) who seek to use Stonehenge to level London. After Jackie discovers their plans and the spell on Stonehenge does not work as they planned, they are arrested by Interpol.
  • Kiang-Shi (voiced by George Cheung) - A chi-sucking vampire. Uncle is briefly turned into one until Jade and Tohru return him to normal.
  • The Monkey King (voiced by Bill Tanzer in "I'll Be A Monkey's Puppet", Billy West in "Monkey a Go-Go") - A Sun Wukong puppet who can gain a physical form by transforming others into puppets.
  • Bartholomew Chang (voiced by Tim Dang) - A corrupt Taiwanese businessman who is obsessed with jade. The J-Team encounter him when Captain Black sends them to infiltrate his organization and learn where the jade is being kept, during which they enter a martial arts tournament while Jade sneaks into Chang's headquarters to find the jade stone. After defeating Chang, the J-Team take him into custody and recover the jade. Chang later returns with his dark wizard ally Pip, who creates clones of the J-Team to replace and eliminate them and recover the jade stone. However, the J-Team reverses the spell that made the clones evil and they defeat Chang and Pip, who are arrested by Section 13. Chang later escapes from prison with help from the Chang Gang, which he assembled to be equal to the J-Team, but they are defeated when Jade transforms them into children.
    • Pip (voiced by Tim Dang) - A dark wizard who helps Chang to create the J-Clones.
    • Chang Gang - A group of criminals assembled by Chang to beat the J-Team.
      • Tommy Chung (voiced by Tim Dang) - The field leader of the Chang Gang who is on China's most wanted list. He is a martial artist and counterpart to Jackie Chan.
      • Helga Sorenson (voiced by Cynthia Songé) - A member of the Chang Gang who was a professional wrestler and weightlifter before becoming a criminal. She is the counterpart to Tohru.
      • Bob "The Bopper" Halfcock (voiced by Clancy Brown) - A member of the Chang Gang who was a wrestling specialist that went rogue. He is the counterpart to El Toro Fuerte.
      • Phillip Crane (voiced by Bill Tanzer) - A member of the Chang Gang who is the counterpart to Viper. He is a burglar who robbed the Louvre, Guggenheim, Uffizi and Tate on the same day.
  • Michael Diaz (voiced by Clancy Brown) - A con artist who posed as a curator to target the Golden Squid.
  • Mirror Spirits - Four evil spirits trapped in a mirror who cause people to transform into their greatest fear.
  • Iso (voiced by Sam Riegel) - A dark chi wizard and the future self of Jade's friend Jimmy, who went rogue after becoming Tohru's apprentice.

Other characters

  • Lo Pei (voiced by David Carradine) - An ancient warrior who previously petrified Shendu and created the Talismans. In "The Warrior Incarnate", Jade animates a statue of him using the Rat Talisman, and he steals the Talismans before eventually returning them and turning back into a statue.
  • Drew (voiced by Jeannie Elias) - Jade's classmate, whose stories of her adventures are often ignored.
  • Mrs. Hartman (voiced by Jeannie Elias) - The teacher of Jade and Drew's class at Jade's school who doubts her stories about her adventures with Jackie, but loves teaching. In "The Demon Beneath My Wings", she is accidentally transformed into a demon by Hsi Wu's Chi before being returned to normal.
  • Mama Tohru (voiced by Amy Hill) - Tohru's mother who is stern but well-meaning and develops a rivalry with Uncle.
  • Quetzalcoatl (voiced by Art Bonilla) - The Aztec god of the sky, sun, and Earth. The Noble Rat temporarily animates a statue of him, who mistakes Jade for Cihuacōātl and El Toro for Xolotl. However, he eventually makes peace with them and reverts to a statue.
