Jim Sann [2] is an American professional basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association.

editToronto Raptors (2003-2004)
editSann started his coaching career in 2003 as an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors under head coach Kevin O’Neill. Sann, along with O’Neill were fired after the conclusion of the season. [1]
Houston Rockets (2004–2005)
editSann joined the Houston Rockets as an assistant coach for the 2004-05 NBA season. [1]
New Jersey Nets (2005–2010)
editSann was hired by the New Jersey Nets as an assistant coach and coaching associate from 2005 to 2010. [1]
Chicago Bulls (2010–2012)
editIn 2010, Sann joined the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach and video coordinator. [1]
Pace Setters (2012–2013)
editSann briefly joined the Pace Setters as an assistant coach in 2012. [1]
Brooklyn Nets (2013–2016)
editIn 2013, Sann left the Setters and joined the Brooklyn Nets as an advance scout and assistant coach. [1] His role and responsibilities with the Nets were mainly player development, providing scouting reports, and analyzing opponent strategies during his time there. [1]
Return to the Toronto Raptors (2016–present)
editIn 2016, Sann returned to the Raptors as an assistant coach under Dwayne Casey. [1]
In 2019, Sann helped lead the Raptors to their 2019 NBA Finals where he won his first NBA championship.
On July 4, 2023, Sann was retained on the Raptors coaching staff by new head coach Darko Rajaković. [3]
