Katlang (Pashto: کاټلنګ , Urdu: کاٹلنگ ) is a tehsil in the Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.[2][3][4] It is located approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) north of Mardan. The population of Katlang was 343,144 in 2017.

Katlang topaz
editIt is estimated that there are anywhere between 70,000 and 9,000,000 carats of pink topaz in and around Katlang. It is estimated that the Mingora emerald and the Katlang topaz have a worth upwards of 20,000 rupees per carat.[5][6]
