Leanne Morgan

Leanne Fletcher Morgan born on October 3, 1965,[1] is an American standup comedian, actress, and author.[2] She released her first Netflix comedy special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, in 2023.

Early life and education

Morgan grew up in Adams, Tennessee in a farming family.[3][4] Her family operated a pig processing plant. She attended Jo Byrns High School, graduating with the class of 1983; she graduated with a degree in child and family studies from the University of Tennessee.[5][6]

Career

Staying busy after having her first baby, Morgan worked as a jewelry saleswoman.[4][7][8] While making door-to-door sales, she began talking about motherhood and making jokes with clients who related to her jokes; they eventually began booking her for comedy gigs.[4][9] Her first comedy special on YouTube had over 50 million views by 2023.[4] Her Netflix special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, was in the top 10 comedy specials on the platform.[4][10]

On September 24, 2024, Leanne released her first book, titled What in the World?! A Southern woman's guide to laughing at life's unexpected curveballs and beautiful blessings.

She is managed by Levity Talent and represented by United Talent Agency.[11][12]

Personal life

Morgan was married at the age of 21 but ended the abusive relationship. At the age of 26 she married Chuck Morgan, whom she met at the University of Tennessee.[4][11] After getting married, they moved to Bean Station, where Chuck owned and operated a used mobile home business.[4] Leanne and her family later moved to San Antonio, Texas and then Knoxville, Tennessee.[4][11] She and her husband have three children.[13][14]
