Liolaemus puelche is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae. The species is endemic to Argentina.[2]

Etymology
editThe specific name, puelche, is in honor of the aboriginal Puelche people, who live in Mendoza Province, Argentina.[3]

editThe preferred natural habitat of L. puelche is shrubland, at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,200 ft).[1]
Description
editRobust and medium-sized for its genus, L. puelche may attain snout-to-vent length (SVL) of almost 9 cm (3.5 in).[2]
Diet
editL. puelche preys predominately on arthropods, but also eats some plant matter.[1]
