  7. ^ Jamestown started a transition to NCAA Division II in July 2024, joining the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. However, it remains an NAIA member in the 2024–25 school year before starting full NCAA competition in 2025.
  8. ^ Middle Georgia will start a transition to NCAA Division II no later than July 2025, joining the Peach Belt Conference, before starting full NCAA competition by that time, pending NCAA approval.
  9. ^ The women's basketball team uses the nickname Flying Queens.
