This is a list of monuments in Kathmandu District, Nepal, as officially recognized by and available through the website of the Department of Archaeology, Nepal.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Kathmandu is a district of Bagmati Province and is located in central northern Nepal.[9] It includes Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the capital of Nepal. The district is a historically rich area and Hindu temples are the main attraction.
