Madame Butterfly (song)

(Redirected from Madam Butterfly (song))

"Madame Butterfly (un bel dì vedremo)" is a song by Malcolm McLaren, an electronic interpretation of the operatic work.[1] It was released as a single from McLaren's 1984 album Fans, and reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart.

It was produced by Stephen Hague and is widely cited by the Pet Shop Boys as the reason they chose him to re-work the original 1984 Bobby Orlando version of "West End Girls" into a more cinematic version before later going on to produce their debut album Please.
