Marak (Persian: مرك)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kahshang Rural District of the Central District of Birjand County, South Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 532 in 136 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 568 people in 155 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 569 people in 151 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
