Marta L. Tellado is the president and CEO of Consumer Reports.[1][2]
Early life & education
editTellado was born in Cuba.[3] Tellado received a bachelor's degree in 1981 from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an M.A. and Ph.D in political science from Yale University in 2002.[2][4]
Career
editFrom 2004 to 2014, Tellado was vice president for global communications at the Ford Foundation.[2][5] Tellado became president and CEO of Consumer Reports in 2014.[2][6]
Academia
editTellado served as a trustee from 2013 to 2022 at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 2022, Tellado was named a successor trustee at Yale University.[2][7][8]
In 2018, Tellado was the commencement speaker at Fairleigh Dickinson University.[9]
Author
editIn 2022, Tellado released a book: Buyer Aware: Harnessing Our Consumer Power for a Safe, Fair, and Transparent Marketplace.[10]
