McCracken is a hereditary surname derived from Ulster and nearby Galloway, Scotland.[1] It is an Anglicisation of Mac Reachtain an Ulster Gaelic variant of the patronymic surname Mac Neachtain (commonly Anglicised as McNaughton).[1]
