The current wording sounds awkward given the multiple uses of "review". How about this?

This page lists articles which are under pending changes protection and have one or more edits awaiting review.

A template, {{Tl|Pending Changes backlog}}, shows the current size of the review queue. A special page, [[Special:ValidationStatistics]], provides more information and statistics about the status of pending changes.

This would: add links to 2 other related special pages, much like the current links to Special:StablePages and Special:AdvancedReviewLog; remove the unneeded "This may be added to your user page", since any template can be added to user pages, and replace "wp" with "Wikipedia" in one of the links.
