Different colors in same year

edit

Hey Ferret, On this page - Ju-On, two films were released in year 2009 - The Grudge 3 (belong to remake series in blue) and Ju-On: Black Ghost/Ju-On: White Ghost (belongs to original series in light green). But I can't color second in green. How can I do it? There is this parameters:

  • range4 = 2004 - 2009a
  • range4_color = #0000FF #BBC2D2
  • range5 = 2009b - 2009b
  • range5_color = #0BDA51 #BBC2D2.

But range five is in range4 color as result. Lado85 (talk) 10:30, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Lado85 The rangeX parameters do not support splitting the color of years. They only support full years, not the lettered entries. -- ferret (talk) 14:02, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
But, there is a mistake as a result. Can the tampalate be edited and this splitting support added? Lado85 (talk) 14:19, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Anything is possible, but I myself do not have time to work on this module further. -- ferret (talk) 16:16, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Who else can I ask for this? Lado85 (talk) 18:28, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I too was looking for this feature yesterday, as I would like to add it to a timeline. Please implement it. 78.210.208.249 (talk) 01:13, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Semi-protected edit request on 4 October 2024

edit

Please add one year splitting support, because in the some situations the products of two different timelines are realeased in same year (ex. Ju-On). Lado85 (talk) 18:44, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lado85, I hope you are having a good day. I've marked this request as answered procedurally as edit requests are more aimed for editors who lack the permissions (or have received some other form of restriction that is also compatible with making edit requests) to edit the pages themselves and, so, they write out exactly what they want and then request an editor with permissions to do so. We try to reserve the queue of requested edits to those that are immediately actionable, hence me changing out the parameter to answered=yes. If you simply want to bring attention to this request for added functionality, then making this note on the talk page (or perhaps reaching out to known technical editors, since this has unfortunately languished) is the right play. Cheers! —Sirdog (talk) 09:01, 17 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
