Mohammadabad (Persian: محمداباد)[a] is a village in Atrak Rural District[b] of the Central District of Maneh County, North Khorasan province, Iran. It became the capital of Atrak Rural District after transfer from the village of Pish Qaleh[5] (now a city), and the capital has now been transferred once again to the village of Bazareh-ye Qarnas.[6]

Demographics

editAt the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,135 in 593 households, when it was in the former Maneh District of Maneh and Samalqan County.[7][c] The following census in 2011 counted 2,531 people in 756 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,267 people in 735 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
In 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Maneh County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[6]
