History

The estate of Mornay held by the De Mornay lords was at Mornay-Berry near Nérondes. Aside from their service as knights, the family also produced several notable clerics, including Pierre de Mornay, bishop of Orleans and Auxerre and chancellor of King Philip IV in the early 14th century.

Geography

A small farming village and a hamlet situated some 23 miles (37 km) east of Bourges, at the junction of the D6 and the D12 roads.
