Md Mozammel Haque Khan is the former senior secretary and the former commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission.[1][2] He is president of both the Bangladesh Scouts[3] and the Bangladesh Karate Federation.[4][5]

Early life
editKhan was born on 3 November 1959 in Panchkhola Union, Madaripur District, East Pakistan, Pakistan.[4][6] In 1974 and 1976, Khan graduated from United Islamia Government High School and Dhaka College.[4] He completed his bachelor's degree and master's from University of Dhaka in social sciences.[4][6] He completed his Doctor of Science from Cairo Demographic Center.[4] He completed his Ph.D. in public administration.[4]
Career
editKhan joined the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1982 as an administration cadre.[4] In 2001, Khan was a director at the Prime Minister's Office.[7] He was the deputy commissioner and district magistrate of Jhenaidah District. Khan served as personal secretary to President Iajuddin Ahmed in 2007.[7][8] In 2008, Khan was the additional secretary at the Ministry of Education.[9]
In 2009, Khan was promoted to secretary of Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs.[4][10] He went on to work at the Ministry of Communication,[11] Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division, Planning Ministry, and Energy and Mineral Resources Division.[4] He was also the secretary of the Roads and Railway Division.[12] In 2014, Khan was promoted to senior secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.[4][13] He is a former director of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission.[7] In 2016, Khan was appointed senior secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration.[6] He replaced Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury.[7]
Khan was made a commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission in July 2018 replacing Dr. Nasiruddin Ahmed.[4][14][6]
On 11 June 2023, Khan was replaced by Mst. Asia Khatun, former secretary of Bangladesh Public Service Commission.[15]
Scouting
editHe was awarded the second highest award of Bangladesh Scouts 'Silver Hilsa' in 2004 and the highest award of Bangladesh Scouts 'Silver Tiger' in 2008 for his role and special contribution in scouting activities. He also received The Bharat Scouts and Guides' highest award 'Silver Elephant' and Philippine Scouts' 'Bronze Tamaru' award in 2015.[16][17] Currently, He is serving as the president of Bangladesh Scouts.[18]
