Course of the stream

edit

The source of Nahal Shachvi is located at the southern edge of Birya Forest, at an elevation of about 760 meters above sea level. Initially, it flows southwest, along Highway 886, from Ein Zeitim through the Ein Zeitim junction under Highway 8900 and Highway 89. Subsequently, the stream changes its flow direction to the south, and towards its end, it turns southwest. About one kilometer west of the ancient Jewish cemetery in Safed and approximately 800 meters northwest of the new industrial area of Safed, at an elevation of about 550 meters above sea level, Nahal Shachvi flows into Nahal Amud.[2]
